Is there an analytical technique or hardware instrument that can separate either peptides or proteins based on abundance (ie highly abundant peptides or proteins are separated from medium-abundant peptides or proteins which are separate from low-abundant peptides and proteins etc.) and then have those separated peptides or proteins passed on to an LC-MS system?

You can work with monolithic columns from Thermo to seperate peptides and proteins.
