Dear proteomics community,

I am searching for a tool that would create a spectrum library in a common format from a list of identifications and a spectrum file. Does anybody have a suggestion? Open source would be preferred such that it can be extended for, e.g., different ion types...

Thanks :)
best wishes,
Viktoria

My favorite is SpectraST! Open source, well documented, main output format is splib and sptxt, where sptxt is essentially the same as the NIST msp format, which is the most common format, convertible to others (just rename xx.sptxt to xx.msp and most tools that read MSP will work fine)

Docs are here if you want to browse for capabilities:

There’s no separate download and install, but it installs with the TPP on Windows or Linux.

Regards,

Eric
