Dear FECIPA,

Typhoon Marakot dumped as much as 10 feet of rain on areas of Taiwan in only two days.

Flash floods and mudslides destroyed everything in their paths; homes, streets, and even animal shelters.

10 feet of rain in just 2 days - washed away everything in its path

Animals are roaming the streets with no food or shelter - they are left to fend for themselves amidst the thick mud and dangerous debris.

They won't make it alone...they need your help now.

The Taiwan authorities are working around the clock to rescue and care for so many people who were injured and had their homes washed away. But they can’t do everything - someone needs to help the animal victims of this terrible disaster. It's up to us.

The animal victims need us now - we are their only hope

IFAW rescuers rushed to the scene last week to work with government agencies and local animal rescue groups to provide food, water, and medical supplies to the most needy animals.

Many of the roads are gone, and some villages are completely cut off. IFAW is working with a local agency to reach one such village called Chia Hsien. We’ll be the first animal rescue group allowed in this area and we’ll help provide immediate medical attention, shelter, and evacuation for animals needing critical care.

And we are working with local shelters to repair extensive damages to their facilities so that they can provide the protection that the animals so desperately need.

You can provide the food, water, and medicine to help
save a life

There's so much work to be done, and I know I can count on you to help. We are so lucky to have caring supporters like you so that we can react at a moment's notice to emergencies like this.

Please help the animal victims of the Typhoon Marakot by making an Emergency Rescue donation today. Every dollar you donate will help the animals victims of disasters like this, and help us end animal cruelty around the world.

Time is running out for these suffering animals. Please give as soon as you can.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for donating to IFAW. Your gift represents a vital contribution to IFAW's entire mission of saving the world's animals from cruelty and exploitation and will be used where most needed to help ease their suffering.

Worried about Donating online?
I used to be too ... so I made sure our online system is safe, secure, and state-of-the-art. It also eliminates check-processing costs, so more money goes directly to saving animals. But if you prefer to donate by phone or mail, simply click here for address information.

NOTE: To make sure you continue to receive further emails from IFAW, please add fr...@ifaw1.org to your email address book. If you use a spam filter program, please assign this address a status of safe or trusted. If you have an AOL, Hotmail, MSN or Yahoo email address, this is particularly important as we receive many bounce backs from these email addresses.
