Have a look the north facade of the reconstructed Foochow YMCA Building. Does the "青年会" logo look like a giant cross?

Is this the original Foochow YMCA building? Can't believe that it's
allowed to be reconstructed.

Has anyone got the plan of the site? I would love to have a look.

Now you would understand why I never want to go back to work as an
urban planner. Right?

Yes, the original building is being reconstructed, but the original meaning of YMCA is no more.
