Have you gotten your invites yet?

Based on that gmail invite thread, there were 5 sources: Leslie, Lele
(Stokley got from Lele), Circia, hapie and myself. I'm wondering if
you've gotten invites in your account.

I've given to Pei, Daynah, Will, Reverie , Sinta , Nalani, eric, tina,
Adam, j-hacks, thepensivepoet, cherbub143, truant , Sarah, Sara.

So far , I know Pei, Daynah and Will received invites and have
returned the favor to the others. What about the rest of you?

I have yet to receive mine :( How long does it take? Or perhaps I'm
looking at the wrong place. Isn't it suppoused to show in the Inbox
when you receive invites to give out? I was hoping to get some today. I
keep coming back to check.

Nope, I haven't received any invites yet. But I only created my
account a day or two ago, so I'm not getting impatient or anything.

Mmm I got my invite outside the Protag invite network, and have since
gotten six invites.. gave four away so far to my boyfriend and offline
friends, and am waiting for two others to let me know if they want
Gmail. I'll probably only start sharing the love with Protaggers only
after my RL contacts have been furnished with Gmail accounts :p

Sinta, the invite link should appear in bold red text ('Invite a friend
to join Gmail!') near the top of your Gmail window, after 'Show search
options' and 'Create a filter'.

I don't think they automatically issue invites after you've joined,
it's more like all users of a certain level will be given invites at
the same time when the nice people up there feel like it :P

nope, no invites yet for me either. i think i'm on day 4 or so.

I haven't gotten any invites to give out yet. Still waiting.

I will for sure pass them along once i get them. I read somewhere that
not all gmail members will receive invites to give out. Is that true?

I've gotten a total of 19 invites since June 7 (getting 5 yesterday
like Lele). Google probably decides the timing of invites. Before June
7, I only got 1 invite and that was for Mother's day. The only
protaggers who got invites so far were Pei, Daynah, Will, Nadine,
Amanda, Brooka, I'm sure you'll all get some invites pretty soon.

because I've never sold an invite and gave it freely or what? What are

I got three invites on a day or two after I got my account. Three more
about a week later, and 5 more only two days ago. Hehe, I have 6 left
if anyone wants an account, not that anyone here would since you need
an account to log-in, but you know.

I should read all my emails before replying. Quoted from Pei:
"Just so it's clear, we get a different colour in each thread. :) The
thread starter will have a red/maroon colour, and then cycles through
the list of colours as we participate in the thread."

I've stopped counting how many invites I've received. But the amount
given increased from 3 to 5 to 6 a day.

No you don't have to finish before getting a new round. Some of my
invitees like Pei, my mom. dad, sister and the invitees of my mom get
almost daily gmail invites. I don't know the logic .

Hey guys...how do you know when you get invites? I don't think I've
gotten any yet, but I just signed up for my account this week, so
maybe that's okay? From the way you guys are speaking, it doesn't
seem like there's any rhyme or reason as to how they're distrubuting
the invites!!!

I just got 6 more! Right after I gave away my last one.

I suspect they may give out invites based on how active you are in
Gmail. Like if you send and receive more mail you might be eligible
for more invitations.

I dunno. I've recieved 28 thus far, and sent about 15 or so. And I
haven't recieved any invites. Perhaps I need to e-mail more? [hehe,
and I alread thought that was a lot!]

All my regular mail now forwards to this account. So I've received
heaps of mail by now (hundreds? a thousand?), especially with all the
LJ comments coming this way. Maybe that counts for something :)

Anyway, I now get to give away more invites! It's a happy feeling.

Lele and Lauren, I'm just curious: what happened to the person who
asked for an invite in both your blogs?

Whoaaa, ok you have me beat. You know, that's a good idea. All my
comments are going straight to my domain e-mail addy. Ack.. not a very
good way to use up space.

Eliza: there seems to be no pattern at all.

Look at my invitees:

Mom: Since June 8, she's gotten 26 invites. She probably emails every
other day since June 8..

Dad: (invited me>sister)- 16 invites already but has only used it once

Aunt: Since June 8, has gotten 26 invites and take note...she has
NEVER even used it because her browser is not compatible. She can't
even login. I had to login for her just to see if it works and now I
am using her invites to share it with all of you.

my lauryn account: I get 6 invites daily. It used to be 5. I lost track .

Sometime I think all the invites went to my tier and the tier after me
leaving none for the rest of my invitees. Maybe it'll not spread too
fast if limited to a few.

Just speculation but there is no pattern.

EMILIZA: use the email forwarder at the cpanel and you will still
receive your pop in your regular email client and still receive the
same email in your gmail account.

Yay, just got 6 invites. I'm not at my home computer right now, so I
don't want to go into the forums. Does anyone know if there are still
people left who haven't gotten invites yet? Because then I'll send
some of mine their way. :)

When you give invites to your friends, make sure they look at their
bulk folder. All gmail invites I sent to the yahoo emails all landed
in the bulk folder. Just in case, don't delete your sent mail cos the
invite links are still there.

Also, read this article from slashdot
