That's really inspirational Henry, you can be truly proud of your daughter. You don't need me to say that but I want to let you know of my admiration and respect for this lady. Brave, down to earth and supremely spirtual all at the same time.
Doug, as for mainstream medicine and promoting "natural" products, that all started about 10-15 years ago Remember PC-SPES ?
That was OK until PC-SPES was perceived to be a challenge to mainstream medicine [ and mainstream treatments which were equally suspicious as far as their price and efficacy goes]. I have no knowledge about propolis but hey, why not mix it with some curcumin and holy basil, give it a sexy name and flog it ? As long as it does not actually "cure" anyone, the dox and big pharma will not mind the distraction. Sorry if I sound a bit cynical.
As for high dose tesosterone - only crazy people do that Henry ! SERIOUSLY. Good luck to you Henry, I am right behind, following in your footsteps !
Incidentally, this summer (2012) I passed the 16 year mark when I was diagnosed. Reminds me of "Alan" (I think it was Alan, excuse me if I am wrong) whose case study by Dr. Strum is reported in the LEF Magazine this month. My starting PSA was about the same as his only I was not diagnosed here in the UK for years after the event. Years, by which time it was really too late to do much other than "sort out my affairs" as the saying goes. Alan was regularly monitored with PSA testing, and supported by a load of other positive strategies in a very positive pro-active setting. When my PSA went over the 4 ug/L "ceiling" it was decided to do nothing. That meant not even warning me of the fact that it was way above normal for a young man my age. [ I only learn now because of a remarkable "fluke" ]
I am convinced that had I been treated in the same way as "Alan" in Dr. Strum's LEF case study, then the outcome would have been very different for me and I would not be struggling with side effects of onerous treatments. But that is the UK NHS. Good for some things, not others.
'Scuse the typos, in a bit of a hurry to get to bed now and up early in the morning.
Cheers,
Sam.

First of all we all have to be realistic .... We are all going to DIE !! So it become THE GAME of when, how and by what ??
Cancer is only one of those things that will hasten the end point. What we do to try and survive is a personal choice in most cases. I am a bit skeptical about the medical industry because of the death of my daughter. Diagnosed with breast cancer at 30 and died at 37. Surgery, Radiation, Chemo X 3 made the last seven years a tough, painful battle, but battle she did. Would she have done better going the "Natural" approach ?? Who knows...?? We take a shot at what we think will work based on our faith in the people that give us the information, be they doctors or the crazy lady next door. I have been on high testosterone for over 11 years and almost every time I ask a professional doctor about it they Scream, rant, and rave about how testosterone will cause my prostate cancer to grow and kill me. Meanwhile back at the ranch QOL is good so I don't plan on jumping off my protocol - High T, High D, Exercise (I'll be 79 in Jan) Most everything is worth a try if you have some faith in it. Who knows ??
I give my daughter credit for being prepared for her end.. She always had cats but never a dog. She got a dog for her husband. She got new furniture and had the house redone, for him. She stayed in touch with her old friend and made new one. She decided on funeral arrangements (who to come to a service, her ashes in the ocean near our home) One of her late conversations with me was that she had no regrets and had lived a wonderful life, and that I shouldn't be sad when she dies because life was worth every minute.

Thank you for that reminder. I remember watching a program where a doctor was interviewed and his comment about Jobs was that he could be alive had he not chosen to go that route. Maybe easy to say now that we know the outcome but it does make you think.

Doug, Well, that's what my feeling was also. I do not know anything about Propolis and maybe at this point, because we haven't talked to Bob's doctor yet, I am grasping at straws but I did want to know if anyone knew anything about this.
Through the years, I have found that most mainstream doctors do not think much about "Natural" approaches to healing. Then 10 or 15 years down the road they pick it up and run with it as if it were their ideas. Sorry, I am on who is skeptical of many mainstream docs. They kept me sick for over 20yrs.
How do you take it? How much do you take? Are you noticing any advantage through tests on what it is accomplishing as far as prostate issues? Do you have a doctor who agrees with this?
Thanks Carol

Carol,
I use Propolis.
U of Chicago. They're not dopes and have nothing to gain by
promoting Propolis.
