Hi Sam:
How are you doing ?? You have to update me on your status.
I haven't heard from any of the old gang for some time. It's nice to see you are still around.
Things are a bit interesting with me. I'm still doing the fast cycling with testosterone. 30 days high (4X normal 5mg androgel application) 10 days low (zero). PSA (90) has been going up so I have added a few things - Arimidex 0.25 mg every 4 days to keep serum Estradiol below 20.(seems to be working), Finasteride 5mg/day to keep Serum DHT below 50 (last test 45 previous test four years ago=380). Metformin 500mg to help control my blood sugar. (seems to be helping - also it is supposed to have some anti cancer properties. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. I've been on Phoenix Tears for two months. I'm not sure what if anything is happening on this. I take it on a cracker around 9:00 in thee evening. When I get up to go pee at 2:30 AM the floor seems lumpy, but by 7:00 AM all is normal.
I had a whole body scan and a pelvic/abdomen CT scan with contrast in January. The scans showed so activity in the lymph nodes. So far I do not have any pain and my daily 4 mile run though slow is very enjoyable watching the sun coming up over the ocean (come visit and you can see the sun yourself) I haven't run any races for a year and a half so my pace has gone down a lot (I'm taking two years off from racing, until I turn 80) Bottom line all is well and the world is a wonderful place. I like the idea of being around.
My thoughts on exercise: I have been a runner for over 34 years and in the past I thought of myself as being selfish since I was running for me and racing. After some time off from racing I come to the realization that my running is not selfish. I am using exercise as a means of staying healthy (use it or lose it) To me todays exercise is putting money in the bank for tomorrow's health. I'll let you know an my 90th B/day if it works.
Take care
Henry

Prostate cancer is an exceptionally heterogenous disease. What is good for one man may not be so kind on the next. Be sure to research and test any new supplement or treatment before adopting it - and in any case run it past a medically qualified person for a second opinion.
