We have been invited to info sessions about solar energy. Please attend if you are interested.

Please join the Hirschland-Mosses at 1228 E. Maxwell Lane on Tues. April 28^th at 6 PM for a Show & Tell in their 1960’s all-electric net-zero home: over the course of a year, the home’s solar panels generate more electricity than the household consumes. After a short presentation introducing high-efficiency electric technologies and rebates available for them, you can see these technologies, get your questions answered, and chat over a light buffet dinner on the deck.  We’ll be set up for children. If you can’t make it on Tues. (or the session is full up), please join neighbors for an identical presentation April 29. Each has its own attractions – details below. Please RSVP here. Finally, on Thursday in City Hall, builder Greg Deemer will give an excellent presentation on sealing & insulating your home, in person & livestreamed.

These sessions are organized by Electrify Indiana, an all-volunteer nonprofit  partnering on this project with the City of Bloomington. This project ends on April 30^th.

*  Sealing and insulating can cut the energy needed for heating and cooling your home by up 40%. It quickly pays for itself, can be a do-it-yourself job and is important to do before you install a heat pump HVAC system.

All-electric solar home that produces more electricity than it uses: ductless mini-split heat pumps, heat pump hot water heater and induction cooktop.

Wed. April 29^th, 6:30 pm   201 N. Rose,  Rm. 2140, IU Wright Building

Contractors on hand to answer questions about heat pump HVAC and water heaters; solar; and sealing and insulating. Experience owners on hand to discuss EVs and induction cooktops (see in action).
