PHNA April Meeting
Monday, April 5th at 6:30pm • Online via Zoom

Voluntary Annual Dues
PHNA hasn't been actively collecting dues the past year, in part because we haven't been able to have our annual picnics where folks usually renew. If you would like to make a 2021 payment (Household $10 / Individual $5) Mail to: Glenda Murray (Treasurer), 525 West Third, Bloomington, IN 47404
Dues pay for things like: park shelter rental for neighborhood picnics, paper newsletters, "matching" for grants (i.e. murals, structural improvements etc.), event materials, website costs, etc.

Irish Music Session
Monday, April 5th 4:30pm-6:300pm • at Euclid & Howe Streets
The folks who used to gather (pre-pandemic) to play and sing traditional Irish music at the Runcible Spoon have occasional outdoor, socially distanced gatherings at the corner of Euclid and Howe. All are welcome!

Tree Recommendations
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I'm having a dying silver maple in my backyard cut down in the next few weeks. It's constantly dropping dead branches. I would like to replace it with another nice hardwood shade tree. Suggestions welcome!

Solar Study
Solar Indiana Renewable Energy Network (SIREN), an independent, non-partisan, volunteer-run group that promotes solar power in our local area, is seeking feedback from Bloomington residents about their interest in going solar. Your participation in a brief online questionnaire will inform strategic planning efforts to ensure that SIREN is effectively meeting our community’s future needs!

If you have any questions or technical difficulties, please email Ashley Clark, Study Director, at afbo...@indiana.edu.

Purple Winter Creeper
Now is the best time to remove this invasive plant at the base of trees and poles. Learn more about how to control this plant here

Purple wintercreeper is a destructive invasive vine that makes trees vulnerable to wind throw, creates a monoculture groundcover, harms birds and pollinators by crowding out native plants that provide healthy food and habitat, damages forests and reduces the value of your home!
