Next meeting is May 4, Cemetery workshop May 9

Hi, neighbors,

I have a number of updates.

1. Kendall Knope, from City Engineering, will attend our May 4 meeting at 6:30 pm at Southern Knoll, 1105 W 3rd to have further discussion about Rogers street, especially between 2nd and 3rd. The city is planning to repave that section yet this fall, and they want to consider changes at Howe, Smith, or Prospect to enhance pedestrian safety before repaving.We also talked about street lighting in the area at the April meeting.

2. The first Headstone Restoration Workshop at Rose Hill Cemetery in 2026 will be May 9 from 10-2 pm. Wear comfortable work clothes, bring work gloves and come and go as your schedule allows. 

3. A neighbor with a Ring doorbell got a photo of a guy at 4:16 am over the weekend. He took one look, yelled "Ring doorbell" and went running down the stairs to a waiting vehicle. This gives the appearance of a potential break-in. Please keep your eyes out in the neighborhood for potential problems.
