Volunteer in the Garden at WonderLab
From Kelli Debikey at WonderLab:
I am the Volunteer Manager at WonderLab, your neighborhood, Science, Technology, and Health museum. You may know us, but if you do not we are a nonprofit that specializes in hands-on experiential education and science fun. In addition to our museum and outreach programs we have a lovely garden that is attached to the museum. We use the garden as a lovely green space for our community and as a learning space. However, this space always needs a lot of helping hands to be maintained and stay beautiful. We have a great group of master gardeners that help us out but they cannot do it on their own. Therefore, I am reaching out to other organizations that might be interested in a group volunteer experience. I was wondering if you had anyone active in the neighborhood association would be interested, either as an individual, or as a group in a one time volunteer experience.
We have a number of garden work days to choose from. We usually go from 9:30am - 11:30am and are led by these master gardeners to inform us on what needs to be done and how to do it. Therefore, it is not only a rewarding volunteer experience, but also a learning experience.
