Hi, Everyone,
Two major things:
1. The City will start work on Rogers Street soon (maybe as soon as Monday, June 1). The latest from Kendall Knoke:
We
will be installing two pedestrian refuge islands and signage at Rogers/Howe
(eliminating the parking areas and de facto turn lane/passing blister that
exists currently), and doing bumputs at Rogers/Smith and Rogers/Prospect, which
maintains the existing parking/loading areas, shortens the pedestrian
crossings, has a slight traffic calming effect, and provides a bit more green
space on the corridor.
2. We will be having a Food Truck Party Tuesday, June 9, from 5-7 pm at 700 W Howe Street, the First Church of the Nazarene parking lot. The church is have roof work done next week, but even if they aren't done, we will party in another part of the parking lot! Come and join us! You can buy food from Doner Kebab & Pili's Party Taco, and we will have music from the 3 Js. Come and visit with your neighbors!
