I was appearing often on national TV, and several segments I was on won awards for the programs. When I started to receive unsolicited invitations to speak at large conferences I knew I was in a position of strength to ask for more than was offered. I did so well that eventually other speakers asked if I'd handle inquiries for them and get them bigger fees, too. I loved doing that, even more than speaking, and it comes easy to me. It gives me such a lift to get more money for deserving speakers.
