Something I've been trying to figure how to do, at first without variable if possible. What triggers do you use to count number of won rounds for the char within an Arcade match? i'm trying to run actions only when a char has won one round and is about to win the 2nd (when P2 life reaches 0 etc). But if the player doesnt win round 1, then round 3 has to be that time.

you have to use a var because that sort of data will be reset at the next round, however if you use a var to store it and it isnt within the set range of vars that get reset per round, then you should be able to track the number of wins that way.

I have IntPersistIndex = 58 on the char, so if I used e.g var(61) which is higher, it shouldn't reset? I'm trying to send an enemy char into a finish state like in mk for characters that dont share the mkp code, as right now non-MK chars dont get KOed. And im doing this by putting the code into the mkp chars, who are the only ones that cant KO the non-MK chars. I wanted to use a controller different from Hitdef but im not sure if there are others. I have to put the code in the MKP characters, the ABOVE triggers dont work tho, I dont see the enemy char sent to this 9001 state when I added variable.

Yes I remembered and corrected it, so I use var(59). I use it in statedef -3 and I dont get why the TargetState executes in Round 1. So the idea of my thread will be to figure out how to make it remember that it has to execute the TargetState only when the char has one won round. I can use RoundNo != 1 trigger but it won't help because if P1 (main player) made P2Life < 2 at round 2 and P1 lost round 1, then it would execute at round 2 which would be his first won round and in such case should happen in round 3 only. My triggers run the TargetState in round 1 and I dont know why. I did the second 'VarAdd' to be adding it after the first won round as Win should happen just once but doesnt work to only happen after 1 won round.

The 3v3 & 4v4 patches are modified M.U.G.E.N executables for M.U.G.E.N 1.0 and 1.1 released by NotAGoodName that allow for three or four characters to be selected in Simul at once, allowing for a maximum of eight characters to be present in a match at once.

3v3 and 4v4 matches can be played in the Team Arcade, Team Versus, Survival and Watch modes. Apart from three or four characters being present on one side at once, 3v3 and 4v4 matches function exactly the same as 2v2 Simul matches, which means every character on a side still shares a single Power bar, which fills up incredibly quickly because of the amount of characters, and characters with long-ranged attacks and powerful Hypers have a huge advantage. Any game mode other than Simul remains unchanged.

To use the 3v3 & 4v4 patches, one must take the M.U.G.E.N executables from the folder of the M.U.G.E.N version desired and put the executables in the same folder as the default M.U.G.E.N executable, then run one of the executables. It should be noted that it's not possible to change the amount of characters selectable in Simul in-game, so when for example the 4v4 executable is run, the player will only be able to play with four characters in Simul, and not with two or three.

As such, Violin Ken has released an interesting video that depicts a match up between Ryu and... Ryu. More specifically, this is the Street Fighter 3's version of Ryu facing off against Street Fighter 6's Ryu.

On the other hand, SF3 Ryu not only gets to keep his parry, but he apparently has access to two supers at once. Due to this, SF6 Ryu is relegated to backing away repeatedly in hopes of keeping SF3 Ryu out.

Unfortunately for SF6 Ryu, it's not even possible to consistently anti-air SF3 Ryu when he jumps since he can still perform parries while airborne. This proves to be an unfair match up, but it's interesting to see it play out nonetheless.

I'm going with Luo-Lang. I don't think Mugen's unpredictability is gonna be that much of an issue. Mugen has been shown to struggle with skilled swordsmen in the past and I think Lang's personality would throw him off a bit.

Those skilled swordsmen would kill Lang. So would Mugen. When Mugen applies himself he is naturally talented and can mimic other fighting styles like learning Chi attacks. He's for more skilled, agile, and stronger.

How Lang would perform against them is debatable, though I agree that more than likely, they'd win (annihilate is a stretch). As far as mimicking other fighting styles, the only instance like this I can remember is when he fought Shoryu, but it's not like he just picked it up mid-fight. IIRC after he fought him the first time, Mugen specifically trained his body so that he would be able to replicate that same chi technique (and he never used it again). Even then, his win is cheapened by the fact that he used a hidden blade. Sara let him win, plain and simple. He couldn't match up to Kariya either. We can call him vs Jin a stalemate, but really it was inconclusive due to the shop burning down and it's always been my opinion that if they finished a fight, Jin would win eventually.

For the record, I don't think Mugen's more skilled than Lang. More agile and unorthodox? Sure, but not by a big margin at all. If you look at the final fight against Nanashi, he literally does one of Mugen's trademark windmills/flares. Lang sort of reminds me of both Jin and Mugen, in the sense that his fighting style is more orthodox, but it still has unpredictability to it.

Mugen does pick up stuff quickly, During there last fight with Kariya. Mugen had to go and rescue fuu and there was parallel between Jin and Mugen, Jin being orothodox and Mugen being unorthodox but when he had to go rescue fuu he had to use strategy to beat his opponenets. Mugen and Jin have always been stated as equal not outright stated but you know they were equals. Kariya fight Mugen was getting beat in the beginning he would have adapted learn how to fight Kariya just like how Jin had to adapt to Kariya or else he will die. If Mugen has much time as Jin had to fight Kariya he would win
