I have checked this post and this one as well as a few other of the top Google search results but I'm not finding an answer as to why it only correctly saves for the first file. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have no qualms with respecting the limits of an ink cartridge's capabilities, but is there a way to tell colour picker to only show me the options I have? Frankly, I thought that's what part of working in CMYK was for. Now I'm having to randomly choose shades of green hoping the printable gamut won't have beef with them. So far no luck.
I'm working on a macbook 15", 10.11.6, asus monitor. after latest update, when going into full screen mode, photoshop only recognizes the laptop screen on my 27" monitor. But, it will zoom in/out as if it's full screen. When entering double screen (F twice) it works fine.
In my screen shot, the black is the un-viewable area. The white is the artboard, I can move the artboard into the black, but cannot see it. It almost looks that photoshop only recognizes my laptop screen but not my desktop monitor.
Whenever I work for a while in Photoshop the tools are disappearing. I do not mean the window, where I can choose the tools, I just get instead of a brush etc. only a mouse cursor. Changing the tool does not change anything, I keep seeing the cursor only. Scrolling and zooming does not work anymore. Luckily I can still save.
the problem only consists in the latest Photoshop version (CC 2018). In CC 2017 everything works just fine so it is not a problem of the tablet or the computer. I haven't changed any settings in cc 2018 so far. I dont think its a problem with any drivers or setting. More likely it is a problem of the new version ... Since I have problems with any new version of photoshop...
I'm having an issue with using undo in Photoshop. I recently updated to CC 2019 and Mojave at the same time. I am familiar with the changes Adobe made to the undo/step back shortcuts. When working in photoshop, undo will randomly not work (typically when I need it most). I can use "Toggle Last State" once, but have been caught in a predicament where I flattened the file, moved it and could only toggle the move, not the flattening, so the file had to be reverted to the last save. There is no rhyme or reason as far as I can tell, and if I try to replicate the issue, it will work fine, then randomly not work. When it happens, if I go up to edit, undo and redo will be greyed out, and toggle last state is active. If I toggle the last state, I still cannot undo or redo. I did discover that if I do get stuck, I can go into the history and cycle back through previous iterations. It's not a huge problem, it's just aggravating that it's not consistent, and I didn't know if there was some user error involved.
I've seen this question posted on here before (Why can I only paint straight lines in Photoshop CS6?) but my situation and tablet are a bit different. I have recently bought this tablet from amazon and for a few weeks I have been practicing working with it on Paint tool SAI. It works beautifully on the program and I have had no problems with it.
However, whenever I try to use the tablet with photoshop, it only makes straight lines. I know it is not a problem with the Shift key being stuck because, strangely, while I was attempting to draw for a screen capture of the problem, it randomly starting working for a few strokes, as seen in the first screen shot. After that had happened, I opened a new canvas to work on and it unfortunately went back to drawing lines from then on.
The only way of turning it off is unplugging it, I'm afraid. It has no on/off button or switch, only for the screen. It doesn't seem to have any way of removing the battery without taking the entire tablet apart.
The reason for photoshop sequence is so you could bring in seperate photoshop layers with transparent backgrounds. for instance, if your layer was a moon, the background could be transparent and you could then place some stars behind the moon and not have them effect the front of your moon and only would show up in the area that is transparent.
I have the same problem all of the sudden and it's accross all of my Adobe programs. I assumed it was the 2021 update. I first noticed in Photoshop, but it's the same in Illustrator and InDesign as well. I can only have one panel from the right side open at a time. VERY frustrating to have the layers dissappear every time I try to use the properties panel...
I was thinking it may be because the panels on the right became "pop out" ones (forgive my ignorance of the terminology). I was able to resolve the issue of only one panel at a time by expanding the panels (clicking the double arrow at the top right, see photo), though they still only open one at a time when collapsed...
Just to clarify, are you saying that when the panels are collapsed you always see only one panel at a time? Was that always the case? Perhaps I am misremembering, but I thought even in the collapsed form I could have both the preferences and layers (for example) visible simultaneously.
I have been using these programs for well over a decade and never had an issue with seeing only one panel at a time. I don't think I had been working exclusively in the expanded form, that's why I thought the 2021 update was the reason more than one panel can not be open (in collapsed form).
Here (in AI) I have just reset the Essentials workspace. Notice there are two docks. The one on the far right has one panel group consisting of two panels that extend top to bottom. The one on the left has multiple panels. When you click these, only one will appear at a time. This is what you remember.
I opened six images in Lightroom and then opened as layers in photoshop. I then converted to smart object and stacked layers under the mean setting of Smart Objects under the layer banner. When I export the new image from Photoshop, the resulting jpeg image is only part of the original image. I tried unchecking the use graphics card setting in camera raw, but that had no effect. Thanks
Please find enclosed link to waterfall.psd. I originally saved file as a tiff, but I went through the whole process of loading six photos as layers in photoshop, converted to smart object and then stacked layers as a "mean". I then tried to export as a jpeg with smaller size of 2048 x whatever. I used bicubic sharpening and converted to srgb. The resulting photo was just a portion of original file. I could export the file from Lightroom.
First I do not install Lightroom I only use Photoshop. The PSD you uploaded contains as single Smart Object layer. When I open the layer's object I see that it is a stack of 6 RAW Files conversions in a layer stack. They seem to be a time lapse sequence of a Waterfall form a 14MP Nikon D3100. It does look like you may have used Photoshop's menu >Layer>smart Object>Stack Mode>Mean for when I do I do not see any visual change take place ine the rendered image. When I use Export>Save For Web and convert the ProPhoto RGB colors to sRGB as a fulls size jpeg file. When I open that saved Jpeg file in Photoshop I see the colors seem to be more saturated and darker. But the full image is there.
Going crazy trying to figure out what is wrong. No matter what shape I draw in Photoshop, it only shows black. Double clicking the shape's layer and the color picker shows the correct color. But it still appear black only. Even exporting images only show black shapes. This issue started after I updated Photoshop to the latest version.
I know I could use Select > Color Range to do this to each image separately, but I was hoping there was a way to simply create some kind of mask that could be placed on top of any of these images that would only show the black portions of that image (Also, again, since these images are from photos, it would need some form of tolerance too, not just purely black, but black and dark grays).
I can't get photoshop to paint with colors. It is only painting in white or red. The color modes are correct and all channels are selected. Not sure what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Can anyone give me the easy way to create the black frame or border that is only on the top and bottom of a image ? That are very in vogue on Flickr currently .Example www.flickr.com/photos/phamtom/2350735244/

Using PS 22.1. When I open and create a new project or try to view an old one, when viewing at 100% I can only see a very small portion of the bottom of my canvas-which is up at the top of my screen (see attached image). If I increase view to 200% I can see most of it, but this is very cumbersome. I reset my window view to default settings but no luck. I'm relatively new to this program so appreciate any guidance.
I'm currently working in Photoshop CC, doing a fairly basic digital painting, using no special filters, effects, just straight painting. The problem I am having however, is that my brush will only paint in certain areas but not others. It is not as though I have an area selected by accident though (no selections have been made), its behaving almost as if my one layer is made up of many layers. It'll draw over some parts, but on other it doesn't touch at all. For example it will define edges of old brush strokes instead of painting over them. I'm mainly having trouble when I try to work at an opacity lower than 100% for the tool, not the layer. This even happens if I draw on a new layer that is above the old layer. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this, as I have restarted photoshop, restarted my computer, reset all tools, and even tried using a new file in case the old one had been corrupted. Please, if anyone has any idea what is happening or how I can fix it, I would be forever grateful.
My operating system is still a bit out of date, as I am still using yosemite. I kind of doubt this is the problem as I have had no other problems in photoshop or any of my other CC applications, but it could be a possibility.
