These days, I do come across allegations of serious nature being leveled against certain servants of God in Tamil Nadu, India. When allegations are raised against any servant of God, we should not compare him with Jesus Christ because the allegations raised against Jesus Christ on which He was sought to be crucified were completely false and also because Jesus did not give His opponents any occasion to make allegations of sexual misconduct and financial impropriety. In money matters, Judas was given the responsibility and he w
as swindling the same. Jesus had known that Judas was pilfering the money. Mother Teresa also had known that funds sent for her various projects were swindled.
The servants of God who receive donations from thousands of people all over the nation or the world should publish their audited accounts regularly. The servants of God who receive donations from few people should tell the donors how their sacrificial offerings were spent.
No allegation of financial impropriety or financial misappropriation should be leveled against any servant of God without evidences. Similarly, no allegation of sexual misconduct should be leveled against any servant of God without evidences. Allegations to be proved on the basis of evidences should be made before the servants of God concerned and not in a public forum where the servants of God concerned are not heard.
Secondly, when allegations of sexual misconduct or financial impropriety are made against any servant of God publicly, it is time for the servant of God concerned to sit at the feet of the Lord and to examine his ministry activities where he had given an occasion for His opponents to make such allegations. It is possible that the allegations are either partially true or completely fabricated. The servant of God concerned should go into the wilderness for a season till he is cleared of the allegations against him. He should exhort his co-workers in the ministry to carry on the ministry during the time of his wilderness period.
