i am just working through my first design using W5 & i have run into a problem. With previous versions of pro-e we have always had the show/erase functionality, now it appears to be show only. I am really struggling to discover how to erase cosmetic thread features in a given view, on my drawings. Before, you simply set "by view" & picked the cosmetic thread to be erased. I have discovered that you can pick cosmetic sketches, right click, & erase cosmetic pops up, but this does not work for threads. Can anyone help?
You can erase with just about any of the tabs selected. You can select them in the view but it's going to be easier to select the feature in the Model Tree portion of the Navigation Window (I think this is the workflow intent now) and RMB>Erase. To unerase the cosmetic thread you need to have the Annotation tab selected. There are some other nuances, such as showing a deleted shown dimension, that will take getting use to.
thank you for the reply, but i'm afraid i just don't get this. I am still unable to erase the cosmetic features i want rid of. The features i am trying to erase are internally created cosmetic threads using the hole feature. You cannot erase them in the way you describe, they do not highlite & so you cannot select them. If you create a cosmetic thread using the cosmetic thread tool (ie. a stand alone feature) then you can erase it as you describe. Try it for yourself.
I see you found out how to do what you were looking to do. I did try again using the steps I gave you on an internally defined thread created with the hole tool and had no problem erasing them. One thing I did find that could cause problems or confusion is when the cosmetic thread of a feature is shown in some views but not in others.
Thank you for the reply, this was so much easier in previous releases. I have figured out that these cosmetics can be erased individually by picking them via the model tree, so this is how i plan on doing it from now on, but it is a pain.
If you look at the side of the main window, the sub-window where the model tree is located can be toggled between the model tree and the layer tree. Select the layer tree. Within the heading field, you select the .prt or .asm that drives the drawing. From that point on you should have the drawing views listed. These layer list subsets will apply to the view by the same name. Do not forget to save layer status or changes will be lost.
Can anyone tell me if there is a write erase command similar to the cisco ios one that can be used on the EX-3200's ? I have to perform a DR test and remove the current pre-production config and quickly load the production config.
Also, if you don't want to transfer the config file to the box, you can go into config mode. type "delete" (it will ask if you are sure, say yes.) Then "load merge terminal" paste in the config. "ctrl+d" and then commit. As long as the config is clean (no typos) then it will work.
I'm not actually using WF5 so I can't say for sure but my uderstanding is there should be a drawing view section of the interface that lists the elements of the drawing. There should be a category called annotations that list the dimensions. If it has been erased it should show as greyed out, select the dimension, and then right click>Unerase. However I have been told by some that it doesn't seem to work or doesn't always work.

So, i used the erase-install.sh script, pushed and activated by policy, and pushed it out to my two current test machines. They ran the updates as requested, but I lost the JamfConnect login window. The update polic isn't registering as completed, the test machines are just sitting in pending, and when I tired to push out an auth-changer policy, it is also sitting in pending, with no progress being made. I need help with this.
It seems like any Major OS upgrade will cause the Jamf Connect window to disappear.
What I did to resolve this was create a policy that runs the a script to reset authchanger on login.
I actually have this ongoing, since the JC window likes to disappear on me for unknown reasons besides the upgrade.
Script to run
This could likely also be run from the Execute Command field in Files & Processes.
After they login for first time without the JC window it should come back.
There may be other solutions to this issue but this works for me.

Linear: the number of calls to the destructor of T is the same as the number of elements erased, the assignment operator of T is called the number of times equal to the number of elements in the vector after the erased elements.
How do I perform a FLASH mass erase operation with s32k144 and s32 design studio? Can you describe me the precise steps to do that, without risking to brick my board as happened for other people, like here?
Based on the procedure of demo in AN12323.pdf, I don't think mass erase is able to remove partition. The only way to remove EEPROM partition is to do the partition again with suitable parameters. Otherwise, the SIM register for flash config will not be changed. Am I correct??
When you are using FLASH operations by MCU - make sure that you aren't modify flash config on address 0x400-0x410. Erase of that area is okay, but make sure that you don't write there data which disable mass erase and secure the chip.
Ok, I understood that whenever I want to program/erase my s32k board, I must pay attention to not secure it, otherwise I could not be anymore able to re-program/re-erase it, if I do not have a backdoor key. The fields that I must pay attention to are in the following figure:
I highlighted in yellow what I want and in red what should happen when I perform a mass erase command (is it true that an erase command will put all flash bits at 1?). You said that an erase of this area is ok (i.e., the erase will not secure the device), even if the mass erase will write SEC = 11b (device is secure).
In the example provided with the SDK, after the erase of all flash blocks, the application will program the Flash Configuration Fields writing the following thing:
Ok, so when I erase all the flash content, SEC field secures the chip but the MEEN field leaves the mass erase operation enabled (thus, the example provided with the SDK maybe only wants to show how the flash configuration fields can be written).

This will delete them all. To delete a single guide move away from the model and drag the eraser tool with the mouse button pressed across the guide somewhere off to the side where the guide exits the model.
I have this issue sometimes with guide points also (not guides aka guide lines). Small left-to-right rectangle-selects are what works for me, often combined with zooming in a fair bit.
If you do this a lot: Say, entering many guide points for spot elevations, do it in a group to begin with so you always have them separate. Then you can go about selecting the ones you want to erase, independent of the surroundings.
Dear friends. I am sometimes having trouble to Erase & Fill a selected area in Meshmixer. On the same model (Teeth), i can select a tooth and use the Edit/Erase & Fill command and usually the tooth is gone!!. Yet frequently, i can remove 1 tooth, then try to remove another one, and after selecting the tooth area i want to erase & fill, the selected area, from the usual Mustard-brown colour, it goes Purple and the selected area is NOT erased & filled (Is temporarily cut and then as you rotate the model the tooth pops back again!! I performed Analysis/Inspector to ensure the mesh has no holes, still without success. I am desperate to receive some help, as to how to bypass this problem. (I attach some screen shots for further explanation). Cheers PT
