Yep I have, I have done them all p90x, P90x2, insanitty , asylum, P90x3 and others

P90x3 is good 30 minute workouts at an accelerated pace, not lots of standing around, lots of variety as well.

And like you said, you can't out exercise a bad nitrition plan. You can workout all you want but if eat lilke crap you won't not get the results.

Just PM if you need some more info and I can go into detail for you.

good luck!

Just finished P90X3 after two rounds of the original P90X. Love the intensity and program. You'll receive a whole bunch more benefits from doing any program like this than you can measure. Mental, physical, everything. And yes, diet is key too.
Give it a shot, what do you have to lose.
Warning: it IS habit forming. (in a good way)
Good luck.

I just started P90X3 after doing the original P90X for a long long time and doing P90X2 for a bit as well. P90X3 is really good, all the workouts are short 30-40 minutes and really good non-stop action.

Not a lot of equipment needed either so it's easy to do at home. I can't get 5-6 workouts a week in but I'll typically do 3-4 a week, just trying to drop a few un-wanted pounds off. I'm doing the lean workouts, which is a bit more cardio based but still has it's share of strength stuff.

I'd highly recommend it, even if you haven't worked out much for a number of years. Just ease into it.

I did p90x, insanity, p90x3, and now doing Focus T-25. As a beachbody coach I must say these programs are top notch. I really liked P90x 3 and got great results from it. The 30 minutes just flies by and really has a great variation in the workouts. So e easier than others but he hits your whole body every week. More based on strength training than T-25 but both are great. Doesn't have a stand alone core program cause all the workouts really involve the core a lot. T-25 is more cardio and leg based. It's like insanity packed in 25 minutes. I like it for summer cause it's :25 a day with a double workout in Friday and no workouts Sat and Sun. Both are great programs depends what your looking to get out if it and time you have. Inbox me if you need anymore I for on either if these or any beachbody product. I would be glad to help

T25 has done wonders for me. Dropped 80lbs in less than a year and at 41 I can say I have the physique and strength I had at 25.

I've been waiting to use this selfie. Lol

Don't have any before pics because I avoided cameras before.

Yes they missed the boat a bit with P90X2, too much stumbling around and balance/goofy stuff. P90X3 is a definite improvement, plus half the time. I really think if you give it a shot you'll find it a whole lot better. Good luck

As awful as X2 was Matt, X3 is that much better. I am not a coach or have anything to gain, just found that program to be a good one. I was very skeptical after 2, but someone gave it to me for a holiday present and I'm glad they did. It does work. You might want to give it a shot. Good luck. I tried P90X last winter just to firm up my core a bit to help me keep up with the younger guys I play with, and wow - I received all kinds of other benefits. Dropped 30 lbs - that was not my goal at all, still haven't been able to replace my wardrobe, I keep thinking I'll "grow" back into my clothes from before. But as someone else mentioned, the diet part is very key too. Hope you can try it. Have fun.

I tried to do the belly workout yesterday and almost died. I gotta keep it up. Want to lose 10 lbs so I can see my willy again.

losing weight is done much easier with diet. I figure a small meal is roughly 200-500 cals (depending). The numbers I've seen from cals burned during workout are pretty underwhelming. It takes much less effort to skip a meal.
There's nothing special about P90X or any of those beachbody programs

So cutting 10-15% of my intake is probably better then.

Its hard to say that one thing is better for someone than another. However, from an effort standpoint, skipping a meal is definitely easier. Aiming to lose about 1lb per week would only take a few minor tweaks to the diet.
Training while dieting can usually speed up the process, as well as improving metabolic rate and body composition.
Try to avoid crash diets. They can work for shedding a bunch of weight in a short period of time. The downside: you can lose as much muscle as fat, hormone production goes in the toilet, and many people will typically rebound or gain more weight when they start eating 'normally'

Maybe just metabolism. And it just helps you in all other things too, sleep better, energy, mental edge,,, blah blah blah.

I think any kind of program works if you give it a chance. One of the keys of these is how simple, and you can do it from home. But like you said, nutrition is key too.

sure, but those benefits come from working out in general.
the problem with programs that use calisthenics is that at some point, the resistance isn't enough to promote strength/muscle gains.

I'm 44 and soon to be 45. I've been working out since I was 13. Worked out mostly for football through hs and college. Really bulked up after college lifting heavy weights. My hs weight was 180, at 27 I was 220. Fat, slow and slowly killing myself with my diet I needed to change. Started with my diet and running. More running less lifting. Dropped 40 pounds over a three year period. Started to get bored and picked up P90X three years ago. I went through the program without missing a day for two cycles (180 days). Great results. Bought P90X2, toilet paper.

I now mix up my workouts using most of the exercises from P90X to keep things fresh. I have managed to keep the workouts to about 35 minutes, no breaks in between at all. My swing coach suggested P90X3 as he believes some of the workouts are great for the golf swing. Not sure if I will make the purchase or not.

For anyone to say these programs dont work, I would have to respectfully disagree. If you put in the time, you will get results.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'work'. These programs will not help me improve my squat or bench press. They won't improve my half mile time.

I actually started P90X3 last week. I love it. I actually was 78 days into the original P90X and separated my shoulder and had to stop (not doing the program...rough day at the beach).

I'd totally recommend any of those programs, if you're looking for more cardio, I'd recommend Les Mills Combat within the BeachBody realm. I've studied martial arts since I was 4, and this at heart has a lot of the martial arts and kick boxing spirit, along with a lot of strengthening the core, which who doesn't want a stronger core for golf.

Have at it, let me know how you like it, and if you do end up joining the teambeachbody.com group, let us know your username and we can buddy up to be sure we're kept honest in our workouts.

I disagree with you on that. They will help you improve half mile time. If you're dropping weight, that in and of itself will improve half mile time. There's a study according to Runner's World that says if you drop 10 lbs, that shaves off 20 seconds per mile, if you're doing a 5k, that's a full minute faster. I'd say that's pretty good.

how do you know that I'm not an elite half miler?
so if I crash diet and lose 30lbs, my running times will improve despite the fact that I've probably lost 10+lbs of LBM? doubtful.

Physics my friend. Force is mass times acceleration. Less weight accelerates faster, providing a greater force which equals a faster time.
