Powerpoint PPZ files

Came across some Powerpoint PPZ files today in a collection. They are from the older Powerpoint Package and Go option. The file format is actually a compressed windows Cabinet format. Files can be extracted using 7zip or with the usually supplied pngsetup.exe file. 

Question, should these be considered an archive format and content should be extracted or should the .ppz file itself be identified? There is currently a PUID assigned to the format but is extension only. x-fmt/216

Adding a signature would need to identify the Cabinet format and then something specific to Powerpoint.
