Hi all,

In case its of interest, we just published a blog post about our recent and upcoming file format work: http://blogs.loc.gov/thesignal/2023/06/filling-in-the-file-format-gaps/

We have 30 new fdds this year so far and have also published our upcoming workplan for 2023-2024. Most of this work will be completed as part of a contract with Myriad Consulting (through Ashely Blewer, Abi Simkovic and Frances Harrell). Note the new categories for mobile device support, packaging, software and installation support, forensics and disc imaging as well as filling in gaps for existing content categories Email and Personal Information Manager (PIM) Formats, Design and 3D, Datasets and Databases, Still Images and Text.

We also have the PRONOM/Wikidata mappings which are updated monthly: https://www.loc.gov/preservation/digital/formats/fdd/fdd_puid_qid.shtml.

Comments are always welcome - Kate
