Over the past three years the Smart Valley Places partnership has taken an important step forward to promote sustainable and equitable development in the San Joaquin Valley. It is now time to reflect on this experience, and to create a roadmap for continued regional collaboration.

The final convention will be a fun and interactive event to celebrate accomplishments and plan for the future. Everyone interested in creating a bright future for the Valley is encouraged to attend.  It’s an exciting time to be planning for the future of the San Joaquin Valley.

“It’s amazing how people can get so excited about a rocket to the moon and not give a damn about smog, oil leaks, the devastation of the environment with pesticides, hunger, and disease.  When the poor share some of the power that the affluent now monopolize we will give a damn.”  -Cesar E. Chavez
