Extract Linux Running Process using Prometheus

Is there a way to extract the running Process details from Linux OS? 

I looked at https://github.com/ncabatoff/process-exporter which is quite good if the process is an executable but if I want to list the process which is running as jar file or some config or from lib, the result is not great and sometime doesn't come.

Also many times even the process is complete and doesn't exist anymore still it shows in the dashboard (Undesirable).

Is there a better way to list the process details from Linux OS using Prometheus.
