Monitor hp server hardware via snmp

Hi,

please I would like to monitor hardware of HP SERVER (ProLiant DL360 g10/g8/g7/g6) hosting Vmware esxi 6.7 OS and centos 7 OS.

Thus I would like to monitor via snmp vmware OS / Centos OS. Is there someone who has already done the alert file for this purpose ? I am searching OID to monitor disk faiilure, memory failure, system board failure, network interface failure, smart array failure...

I would like to use snmp exporter for this propose.

I tested ipmi exporter but it needs freeipmi to be installed on client ...

I would like to know what exporter are used to monitor hp server hardware ? I found ilo exporter it is good but doesn't work for g4 ilo server...

All my hp server are on vmware esxi or centos 8... 

Is there an exporter for vmware to get alerts about hardware ? Nobody monitor HP server hardware with alertmanager ?

Hi Robin.

I have same task right now.

Currently trying to get info via snmp from esxi host. Already have metrics and working snmp v2 agent on esxi, but snmp_exporter seems no config for host-resources-mib.

I think there is no common solution for both esxi and centos. For centos i'd recommend using node_exporter with additional python/bash script and textfile collector module.

With ipmi and ilo5 I dont have any info about drive status . I have these info with ilo4.

Any idea plz ?
