Dear community,

I'm reaching out to you for your expertise in the field of database monitoring, specifically Oracle database monitoring. Up until now, I've been using the oracledb_exporter ( https://github.com/iamseth/oracledb_exporter.git ), which has proven quite useful as it not only provides default metrics but also allows us to customize monitoring through custom SQL queries.

The question I have is as follows: is it possible to configure the metric collection frequency from the exporter to decrease the performance issue on my DB due to the metric collection?

I'd like to express my gratitude in advance to all those who have taken the time to read and respond to me.

(For an unknown reason Google deleted my post, so this is a shorter one)

Most exporters only collect metrics when scraped, so set your scrape interval appropriately.  However you should scrape at least once every 2 minutes.
