Prometheus Target is UP but i have no data

I have prometheus target for apache exporter Up but i have no data for apache metrics. Any ideas about that please?

Hi,

A couple of things you could look into:

* Can you not only see the target as UP on /targets, but also see the "up" metric for the exporter job when querying for it? If not, maybe the system time between your Prometheus backend and your browser frontend is off, although modern versions of Prometheus should show a warning about that in the web UI.

* What does the "scrape_samples_scraped" metric say about the number of samples scraped from the Apache exporter job?

* What does the "apache_up" metric say, in case it exists?

Hi, 

Thanks for your response. I checked the "scrape_samples_scraped" metric and it gives me 48 . And i checked the  "apache_up" metric and it gives me 0. Although i have only 5 instances UP for my job "apache_exporter".

The main idea was to automate exporter starting via the entrypoint.sh in the kubernetes pod where the exporter is installed but i had a problem of connection refused bescause it worked with the port 80 and not the 9117. Maybe any idea about this can resolve the main problem.
