how to disable repeat notification

hi,

Is it possible to disable repeat notification sent by alertmanager. It is not disabled even if repeat_interval is set to 0.

It's not possible, but you can set it to a really high value.

Thank you.

I currently set it to 30days. Some of my colleagues are expecting it to be turned off because when they receive it 30days later they have almost forgot about what it means and have to check it to figure it out. Then, they enable silence for it. Basically, alerts that keep in firing state for 30 days is not good and that's what they should tune. But they have no time to do so. We also have another system that relay alerts from alertmanager to engineer that have repeat function. That is another reason we would like to turn it off at alertmaanager.

It sounds like you should consider deleting those alerts, as they're already being ignored.
