Hi,
I have setup to monitor tomcat using jmx exporter. I’m able to most metrics except the response code. It’s very useful metric to have when an error occurs. Usually the response code is in tomcat’s accesslog file. How do I scrape this info ?

Any help appreciated thank you!

Hi Arthi,

I am looking for a way to monitor my Apache Tomcat but I am still undecided and I don't know what to choose between the JMX_Exporter and the Tomcat exporter (https://github.com/nlighten/tomcat_exporter).
Is it possible to share with us which metric did you get to monitor your tomcat.

Regarding your question, and if you didn't find how to monitor the response code, I suggest you to use the grok_exporter as the response code is in the tomcat's access log file.

Best Regards
Nabil L.
