Memory Uses Very High

HI All,


I am new Prometheus i have deployed it with pulsar.
RAM keep increasing and after some time pods start evicting.

Why Prometheus uses that much memoey .I have allocated 10Gi but still failing after some time.

How many targets/time series are you scraping? What level of query
complexity and frequency are you seeing?

I have not specified any custom configuration
Please let me know what custom configuration and how to pass it. I am using 2.25 version

Within your prometheus.yaml file you will have defined on or more jobs
(under the scrape_configs entry. Could you give some indication of the
amount of jobs and targets listed in there (or show your config)?

Another way of giving an indication of the amount of data you have would
be the storage. How big is the data directory, and in particular the wal
directory?

Equally you might be using a tool such as Grafana to visualise your
metrics and/or use recording and alerting rules (also references in the
prometheus.yaml file) to aggregate metrics or alert on error conditions.
Could you give an indication of what these sources of queries are? For
example, do you have lots of complex dashboards which are being viewed
by many people?
