Hi,

I am getting below warning in my prometheus UI

Warning! Detected 33.52 seconds time difference between your browser and the server. Prometheus relies on accurate time and time drift might cause unexpected query results.

Can anyone help me out with this on how to fix this

There is a clock skew between your computer and the server running prometheus. You should check your OS clock synchronization setup.

You need to check the time on both your machine & the Prometheus server. Generally it is always strongly recommended to be running an NTP client (or similar) on all computers as unsynchronised clocks can cause huge issues (not just with Prometheus).

Hello ,

Time seems to be the same on both . We are using Amazon linux machine where the prometheus server is installed on EKS 1.18 . We have checked times which are similar. Not sure why this error is popping .

Same setup was also done in other AWS account , which seems to be work allright .

Do you maybe have something incorrect relating to the timezone settings?
Something not picking the correct setting up can easily cause time to be
several hours out between two systems, even if the actual UTC time is in
sync.
