Queries for memory/cpu optimization

I'm looking for queries which will calculate the optimal cpu/memory settings for an application according to past data of allocation vs actual usage, similar to what the VPA does: https://github.com/kubernetes/autoscaler/blob/master/vertical-pod-autoscaler/pkg/recommender/README.md
