I am looking for thin pool utilization metrics. I am using node_exporter and looks like it is giving metrics on mount points, but there are no metrics at logical volume groups and thin pools allocated in linux.

Is there any plan to have these metrics ?. if not can i contribute these metrics to node_exporter.

For node_exporter metrics we have a couple requirements.

* It needs to be able to be run with no privileges. The node_exporter can not run as root.
* It must not require a sub process execution to gather metrics.

Otherwise, it sounds like something we could include.

Can you describe in more detail what metrics you're looking to add, and link to documentation about where they come from and what they mean?

Hi,

I am working on distributed storage monitoring project . we have product called Gluster which is distributed file system.

we are collecting its metrics from each node, Gluster is used to create in-premise storage cluster. so we have thinpool provisioned logical volumes here.

for thinpool provisioned logical volume, we are looking for

1. total space
2. used space
3. break up of used-space with mount points list.
