Request for contribution

Hi All,

I am Manihs, a Java programmer.

I have been using Promethus with Grafana for some months now.

I would like to contribute to the codebase.

Is any permission needed for same? And are there any jiraa which newcomers can look into?

Prometheus is an open source project, so no special permissions are required.

 

And are there any jiraa which newcomers can look into?

There's not that much to be done on the Java side, however if someone was to get https://github.com/prometheus/cloudwatch_exporter/issues/134#issuecomment-495757696 into a state where it could be merged that'd be great.
