Dear Team,

I plan to promote Prometheus version 2.53 as a Long Term Support (LTS) release. This version will be supported until July 2025.

Users on version 2.45 can migrate directly to 2.53. 2.45 is supported until end of July 2024.

Pull requests to update the repository and documentation will be submitted early next week.
