Dear Prometheans,

As you might know, we have a new governance in the pipeline that will
be a better fit to the size and shape the project has grown into. The
new governance will have new tiers of project membership different
from the current roles of maintainers and team members. (See the
current governance for details on those:
https://prometheus.io/governance/#onboarding ) Therefore, we got lazy
inviting new team members. (Why to do all the work if the honor will
be very short lived?) However, the governance has been taking its time
to materialize, and we found ourselves in a position where many of the
most active contributors were not team members. Which also means they
won't vote on the new governance. So we decided to open the doors once
more and admit all those that really should be on the team. We
selected people for which one or more of the following was given:

- Has been one of the top contributers over the last months, not only
in terms of contribution counts, but also in their impact on
directions and technical decisions.
- Is active in maintenance activities like the bug scrub.
- Has lead a significant effort in the last year (e.g. v3
coordination, UTF-8 support in names, out-of-order support for
native histograms, ...).
- Is a maintainer of a repo in the Prometheus GH org
- Is an active maintainer of a popular repo in the
prometheus-community GH org

Of course, this boundaries are somewhat fuzzy, and the selection can
never be entirely fair. Avoiding the heavy-weight distinction between
team members and "normal" contributors via a formal vote is one of the
goals of the new governance, which hopefully will land in the next
half year or so. Stay tuned...

With that said, I'm very pleased to welcome the following new team
members:

I'm happy to be part of the team. Thank you to all of the team members for taking the time to go through this exercise and get all of us set up. I'm excited to work through the governance changes and I'm hoping to help figure out how we can best support the prometheus-community[1] projects (of which I'm a maintainer of 2). Thank you for including me.
