Hi,

I'm a new to Prometheus, and I would like to monitor Linux services running from good old /etc/init.d/
I would like to get Up/Down status.

How can I export the services status to Prometheus?

Thanks.

The https://github.com/prometheus/node_exporter already has support for runit- and systemd-based service states. Other supervisors could be added there, or you could use the node-exporter's textfile module and gather those metrics yourself. Your /etc/init.d/... probably has no process supervision built in, so it's a bit of a different case...
