Prometheus 2026 Steering Committee election results

Hi all,
Voting in the Prometheus Bootstrap Steering Committee election closed on 29 June 2026, and we're delighted to announce the results. Thank you to everyone who nominated themselves, voted, and helped run this first election under the new governance.
The following seven people have been elected to the inaugural Steering Committee:
Two-year terms (through the 2028 election):
* Bartłomiej Płotka — Google
* Ben Kochie — Reddit, Inc.
* Bryan Boreham — Grafana Labs
One-year terms (through the 2027 election):
* Arthur Sens — Grafana Labs
* Jan Fajerski — Red Hat
* Kemal Akkoyun — Datadog
* Solomon Jacobs — Checkmk GmbH
As described in the migration section of the governance, the three highest-voted candidates serve two-year terms and the next four serve one-year terms, establishing the staggered cycle. The company-representation cap (no more than two seats per organization) was applied per the governance.

With these results, the new Steering Committee is seated and the new governance comes into effect.
