PiLLoW and Ciao prolog

Hi,

I've saw some nice articles on PiLLoW and Ciao prolog that seem
to permit processing of html pages and other things as well.
Are these still maintained or are they discontinued ?
Where could I find more about them ?
Has anyone here used them,are they ok ?
(I've recently just tried ciao prolog under windows without any
success).
