I'm having a hard time believing no one's posted anything in over 2
months (according to date column in Agent's list of messages).

Is this censorship, or just a lack of interest??

Am I to believe everybody's happy with everything

I've been lurking for so long, I wondered where everybody went. ;)

Happy? Not all the time. Seems like in the last month downstreams were often
in the 500K range or worse. Boy, that takes me back to zenith days. What's
more interesting is when speedtests show faster upstreams than downstreams.
But more troubling is that I haven't been able to have a clean Vonage phone
call to save my life. I can hear the other person fine, but I cut out to
them. Odd.

I have noticed the same download speed dropping and the upload speed
increasing. Very inconsistent.

I also noted that this coincided with a change in IP address that seems
to be issued to Adelphia Cable Communications.

Same here in the VoIP calls using ViaTalk. About mid-December a couple
of people I called complained about voice quality. I could hear them
fine bit they were complaining of delay and choppy words in their ear.

Switched the gateway on my VoIP adapter to the DSL line, and all has
been fine ever since.

Service Electric, who sells Prolog over their cable, has been promising
"Telephone Service" over cable for a couple of months on their website.
Wonder how they will pull that off if there is not enough quality
bandwidth for VoIP?

Yeah, I "have G7" too, but what I actually see is typically "G4" -
frequently just barely above the next lower tier.

It looks better in the early afternoon, but sometime around 3pm to
3:30 the speed goes in the toilet until late at night.
