100% rookie question about previous years' data

Aplogies if this question reveals that I have not yet fully read the
manual (dang rookies!).

I just purchased ProLog. Looks great! Got the 2011 version. I am
aware that I can import previous year's data. Is there a limit to how
many years I can go back? I want to enter close to 15 years of
rides. Do I simply do a "Save As" of the original xls doc for
previous years... then fill in those years? Or is it more complex
than that.

Do I then do an import of my 2010 doc into 2011?

Is it the same process to import any year? And is there a danger in
starting to add 2011 data for new rides and THEN add previous years?
Or will will current data update automatically whenever I add old
years. Also, can I add previous years in any order I want (as opposed
to working my way forward or back through the years?

Victor,
You can import previous year's info if you used ProLog Cycling 2010.
If you would like to enter in previous year's distance and ride stats
you can do so by going to the Annual Tab and enter it in there. Note
that you can compare 2011 to the previous year by clicking the drop
down cell on the 2011 Stat tab (it is in yellow). You can fill in the
Annual tab anytime. Adding 2011 rides should have no effect on it.

Thanks. So, to make sure I understand, it sounds like I cannot go
back through the years and enter every ride in a detailed manner... I
can only add month by month totals? Can I make duplicates of ProLog
2011 an just rename them 2010, 2009, etc? Or will the calendar thenbe
inaccurate due to the differences between each year?

The Annual Tab only supports monthly summary info and not each ride. Making a duplicate won't work as the dates have to be for 2011.
