is there a way to import 2010 data only without importing preferences
as well?

Which data are you trying to import? There is no way to just import summary data (Annual Tab) but you can import your former ProLog cycling Log Tabs (this is a new function). Go to the ProLog Cycling 2011 pull-down menu, click Import Data, click "Copy Previous Years Log Tab to 2011 ProLog Cycling"
