@stealth_warrior: I probably won't get a chance to for another few hours. Also, are you only using live action feats, or are you using anything from the new comic series that came out that has Cena on the cover? I have some old Undertaker comics from the late 90's that I could probably dig up if we include those as well.

Undertaker is literally a living (er...Dead Man) legend in the pro wrestling world. He's banged it out with the classics, and was still a serious athlete/entertainer with the up and coming young wrestlers of today. Anyways, I won't spend all day talking about how much I lover Taker (even though I could), I'll get right into showing you why he deserves his legendary status.

A lot of people reading this probably think I will be spending a lot of time showing off his incredible strength. I'll admit that I think Cena and Taker are pretty similar in raw strength. Cena has some incredible feats of strength that I will not low ball. I think Undertaker matches this strength, and then takes the edge in several other areas. For one, Undertaker is one of the most surprisingly versatile wrestlers. Most guys of his gigantic stature are incapable of the maneuvers he performs. I'll start off with some of his signature moves, and save the more popular finishing moves like Choke Slams and Tombstone Pile Drivers for later, and finally get into his amazing stats in later posts.

Just to show his shear amount of moves, here's a video with his top 40 moves that he is known for. 40! That's about 38 more then the average wrestler! It's ten minutes long, but it's worth a watch if you have the time. At least take a browse through it, it's very impressive to see him use size, strength, agility, acrobatics, and submissions to show he is a well rounded wrestler, and more then just a powerhouse.

Here's an area that Undertaker takes an edge over Cena. It's a surprising one too because of Undertaker's shear size. Undertaker is quite the experienced high flier. It's no surprise that he was a talented former college basketball player when you see the air he can get. The video below is a great montage to the suicide dive, and is worth watching all the way through to see the amazing athleticism of Undertaker.

Anyways, the Suicide Dive is exactly as it sounds. When Undertaker has an opponent outside of the ring, he will literally leap with incredible height and velocity, and throw his entire body into his opponent. This has been used to take down many of the most sturdy of opponents.

As you can see, it takes someone as tough as Taker to pull off a move as dangerous as this. Because he is so much more durable then any opponent he faces, he knows the damage inflicted to his opponent is greater then what he himself takes.

I'll leave this with a video of one of his most infamous suicide dives in a casket match against the strongest man alive: Mark Henry. What's impressive about the one against Mark Henry, is that he started his leap much closer to the center of the ring then the edge of it, making his jump even longer. On top of that, he clears the casket.

Another acrobatic maneuver for the big guy! This is one of my favorites. This move was named the "Old School" because of how long Undertaker has been performing it. This is a move that very few wrestlers have ever been able to perform, and he's pretty much the only one of the giant sized wrestlers to ever do this.

As you can see from the gif above, Undertaker walks the top rope like a tight rope. This shows his amazing balance and agility. He then uses this height advantage to land an elbow into his opponents back/shoulder.

Signature move #3, and this is a punishing maneuver from the Phenom. This is essentially a leg drop, but a much more devastating leg drop because of the way Taker does it utilizing the edge of the ring.

As you can see from the gif above, Undertaker either knocks his opponent to the edge of the ring, or just drags their body to the edge of the ring. From there, he does a leg drop from the skirt of the ring, landing on either the chest or head hanging off the edge of the mat. This adds to the amount of force being applied to this move, and looks incredibly painful.

Another move that requires a bit of acrobatics and agility. The clothesline is a must have for all wrestlers, but Undertaker doesn't settle for the basic clothesline. He adds his own athleticism to the move, by using his impressive vertical for even more damage to the clothesline. While he may not be the only one to use this, he is definitely the most famous for using this move.

Here's another signature move not expected out of the big guys because of the great degree of technical skill needed. Yep, Undertaker is a pretty impressive submission specialist when he chooses. The gif below shows even the massive Mark Henry having no choice but to tap out.

The video below is a mix of him using this move. Look at some of the all-stars in this video he makes tap out from this deadly move: Big Show, CM Punk (twice), Viscera/Mable/Big Daddy V, The Great Kahli, Edge, Y2J, JTG, Shawn Michaels, and JBL.

I'm going to keep this first post at a reasonable length and close my opener here. I'll get into finishing moves, stats, and other areas of the Demon from Death Valley's repertoire in later posts, and show them how he can use them against an opponent like Cena. This is a pretty fitting intro for now. To end this though, I'm going to include something Undertaker is very known for, clearing a ring. He is capable of taking on large numbers of elite level athletes on his own. In the video below, he uses one of his famous stage entrances. The Undertaker character has a basis of some dark magic, including the ability to cut the lights, and appear out of thin air into any area he chooses. He's used this ability to escape caskets, and to simply get the jump on someone like he does here. This also showcases all of his finishers Chokeslam, Tombstone Piledriver, Last Ride, and even a Hell's Gate. More on those later though.

As you can see from the Gif above, Undertaker lifts his opponent typical to the start of a scoop slam, but instead holds him in place upside down. He then drops to his knees, driving his opponents head into the ground. He finishes off by crossing his opponents arms in the typical funeral fashion for the pin.

Every powerhouse's favorite move. The chokeslam can be used against anyone, and it is easy to use even early on in the match, because it's not difficult to get an opponent into this position. There is not really a counter to it, and it can put an opponent down hard.

Below is a montage video of Undertaker Chokeslams. There are too many great ones to point out, so just watch through them all. Notice the height and power he is able to get out of some of them. Also notice that he can use this move against any wrestler, no matter their size.

As you can see from the Gif, he starts off the move as a normal Power Bomb. Instead of slamming his opponent down after he's flipped him to his shoulders, he gets even more power by extending his arms, and using his monstrous strength to lift their body above his head. He then brings them down for a an extra powerful Power Bomb.

Like I said earlier, I love this fight. It was a great first appearance for Cena. I wouldn't say Cena completely dominates Angle the whole match, because Angle does come back and take the upperhand for a few minutes. Still, I won't downplay this, because it was a great match.

This is actually not true. Angle connects with a low blow earlier in the match, but it has no outcome on the end of this match. Kurt wins with a technical take down for the win. This is what Angle is known for though, and it's not really much of a negative thing on Cena. No one in the history of Professional Wrestling has ever matched Angle as far as technical skill goes. The guy did win a Gold Medal at the Olympics.

Just to show the difference of what a dominant athlete like Undertaker is, here's one of his matches against Angle at the 2006 No Way Out Payperview. This is one huge technical match up. Angle wins from a controversial ruling, but that match is 40 minutes long, and it shows a lot of Undertaker's durability, refusal to submit, and his technical skill to get out of submission holds like the Ankle Lock.

While Cena can take some punishment and kick out like you pointed out, he's got nothing on Undertaker in the durability department. Undertaker can take a beating, and sit right back up. It's actually what he's famous for.

There is no doubt that this is the most famous Hell in a Cell match of all time. It's the first time we've ever seen someone be put through the top of the cell, and the entire match is just an epic beat down. You really should watch the whole match, just for the shear entertainment, but I'll only point out a few things to keep it short.

I'm going to leave it with that epic match. If Undertaker has it in him to put up and take this much of a beatdown in that brutal match against Mankind, who is famous for one thing only - taking punishment, then Undertaker can definitely put down Cena.

@stealth_warrior: We still doing this CaV? It's cool if you can't. I'm just checking to see if I should work on getting another post/closer ready. Hopefully you can, this is a great idea and a fun CaV.

I'm not sure who I would use, but I could probably think of someone. I was kind of thinking along the lines of Mick Foley for my next one, but I can try and think of someone who is a better match for Angle. Maybe Shawn Michaels.

Skill wise was interesting to see. It is expected of both men to abuse their size n strength and stick with power moves but both wrestlers have utilized morr out of the ordinary. Undertaker has showed more versatility so he takes this.

Will wise both of you had 2 really good wrestlers to work with. In the end, cena can feel pain and work through it no matter what (but still stays clearly affected) vs someone who keeps going with no reaction, takes more punishment, recovers hell of a lot faster.
