I ditto Mad on this. Your friend has sime awesome ideas but I don't think we are thinking on a huge scale. Maybe we can make ot annual thing? Make it big next year?
Should we postpone this event? I feel there would be more work than anticipated. "/

Thanks for all this E - I'll have more thoughts later today, but... ugh. I would love for it to be a big thing, but I wanted it to be small so that we wouldn't go crazy trying to plan it. lol

Ok so basically he said we had an awesome idea but that it might take sometime to pull it off properly. He said we could've started by collaborating either with an established non-profit focused on female empowerment (I thought urban whatever they are that Ory is part of) or else an art gallery from jump and have them facilitate the space and marketing Js even the little bit of $ that might be required in making this as successful as possible. He said even now we can consider reaching out to a gallery that can run the ultimate product as a movement exhibition in their space. He said we should consider the following:- we should have a dedicated social media marketer, who's focus is solely to manipulate social media in a way that will maximize exposure and compel ppl to engage and actually participate. He said he's ask around in his circle to see if someone is willing to do it for free. A girlfriend of mutual friend of ours is actually a social media marketer (words that didn't exist in 2005 for $300, Pat), but I'm not particularly close with either of them so I don think that's a viable source for us.- he said we should have a dedicated arts director who's function would be to coordinate all the creative portions of this, be it the flyer, font, lighting and event set up. He's also thinking of who in his circle might be able to offer the service for free.- he said we should think about adding something to the # to minimize the likelihood of unrelated posts - and even consider monitoring the feed to ensure no one is posting in bad faith. I did a quick search and it looks like this is a significant issue - see attached pics.- he said we should have a project manager who's job is to make sure all the pieces of this run smoothly- he's willing to be our photographer at the event but said any banner we set up should be good quality and he'll look knot the best lighting options. The caveat is he doesn't thing he's very good at portraits but he's willing to do it for free if he can add the pics to his portfolio- he said the live hashtag feed shouldn't be an issue and forwarded me the following links:- he'll be following up with me re his contacts. So I'll let ya'll know what I hear back.Ultimately he's used to larger scale projects - and it's fine if that's not our goal - but he seemed to think this was a good enough idea to take care to execute as well as possible as a good campaign could do wonders for "movement" recognition and on future events.
Let know your thoughts. <image.png><image.png><image.png>
:/ I guess it would make sense
