Hey ya'll!

All letters have been delivered (via email)!

A few things:
  • Are we going to invite our mentors (or other young women) to help us wrap?
  •
  • Will wrapping day be Saturday, January 4th? What time and should we have a 1-hour meeting before that?
  •
  • Who will buy the wrapping paper? Should we see what leftovers we have from our own Christmas?
  •
  • The delivery of the gifts will be on Monday,  January 6th. Does 5:30p work for you all?
  •
  • Should we as the team get stocking stuffers for the kids since we didn't each get a kid? This was someone else's idea, but I can't remember who.

Alright, talk to you all later!

Maddie

I can't do wrapping on that Saturday. I can do Friday or Sunday. We could all put 50 in as we planned if we had gotten a kid and get wrapping supplies and stocking stuffers with that. As for now I think I can make the delivery time...hopefully they don't change my schedule at work.

YAY! Thanks for taking the lead on this Maddie. You're awesome!
- I have no one to invite, but I am dow for the cause.

- The 4th works for me...noon-2pm? Meeting at 11am? Will you just ask the young women to come at 12 then?

- We should wait to see what wrapping paper is left over.

- Could we do 6pm just in case...I may take that day off because I want to also do the three Kings Day Parade, but in case I do come into work I want to make sure I have ample time to make it uptown.

- Yes stocking stuffers!

OMG so many typos in that email LOL. Oh if anyone is interested in going to the Three Kings Day Parade that El Museo does...let me know so we can go together. Its in the day so you would have to take Jan 6th off.

Depending on where we wrap gifts,  I can invite my mentee.

I can wrap on Saturday or Sunday. Am down for a meeting.

I agree with DG and Mad, let's see what we have left over and can use the $50 to buy miscellaneous supplies.

5:30pm is perfect for me.

If someone wants to join us delivering gifts,  can they? I've had 2 elves ask me.

I actually had all my elves ask me that, lol. I told them no - partly because I felt we were going to have several people ask and we can't bring them all - the space doesn't allow for it. Also being that they are discrete with their location I didn't want to bring too many people and cause anyone in the center to be uncomfortable.  So I thought it woul be best if we didn't. Anyone feel different?

For this reason, last night I thought of an idea where maybe we can take pictures of the kids with their gifts and send them to the elves. Although I do not know if that's allowed. Maybe we can make consent forms and we can tell the center that we don't plan to publish them but just for ourselves and the elves. Thoughts?

I LOVE the idea of having elf shirts.

Also, Dariany can we leave the gifts in your house - it's the closest to the location.

Yea, I agree. I remember you saying the location being low key and it's probably best if it's just us. If we say YES to one person then we have to say YES to them all. Might be a bit much.

Taking pictures of the kids will be awesome, for our pruposes and for the elves as well. I like that idea.

My contact at Nuevo Amanecer emailed today that there are two letters that came in late. "/ Should I accept them?

Ahh, I feel bad saying no.
I don't have anyone else who is interested though. I think we can take them on ourselves if need be.
