Sorry to sound like a total noob, but, not being familiar with ruby or
rake, I'm having trouble compiling despite the help (for which many
thanks, by the way). I'm guessing I should specify a particular
task... but I'm just not getting the relationship of the structure to
the dependencies, so I can't extrapolate what to do to fix things.
Any chance of a pointer?
Cheers,
Oliver
It represents roughly what the Sprout Task Helpers do - but in more
verbose, base Rake tasks with dependencies.
This should basically be a drop-in replacement for the default
rakefile on a Flex 3 or 4 project.
With that said, what issues exactly are you running into at this point?
Stack traces from the terminal along with your platform info would help.
Thanks,
Luke
Thanks for getting back and happy new year.
I'm afraid that the stack trace is pretty laconic:
zephyr:SproutProject oliver$ rake
(in /Users/oliver/Sites/SproutProject)
[trace] VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.core::BitmapAsset could not
be found.
[trace]
[trace] ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable
SproutProjectSkin_ProjectSprouts is not defined.
[trace]
[trace] ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable SproutProject is not
defined.
[trace]
And that's it.
Regarding my environment I'm running...
OS X 10.6 on an Intel Mac Pro.
Ruby is from MacPorts: ruby 1.8.7 (2009-06-12 patchlevel 174) [i686-
darwin10]
Installed Sprouts gems:
sprout (0.7.223)
sprout-as3-bundle (1.0.32, 1.0.31)
sprout-asunit3-library (4.0.14)
sprout-flashplayer-bundle (10.22.6)
sprout-flashplayer-tool (10.22.2)
sprout-flex3sdk-tool (3.3.1)
sprout-flex4-bundle (0.1.4)
sprout-flex4sdk-tool (4.1.60109)
I have export RUBYOPT=rubygems in ~/.profile
Incidentally, the same issue affects my MacBook Pro (pretty much same
set-up as above, so at least the problem is consistent!)
Please let me know if there's anything else I can furnish that would
help: I'm *longing* to sprout!
Best,
Oliver
Cheers
That damn macports!
It's always so enticing, but never fails to bite me....
Thanks for letting us know.
