Position: Data Modeler Location: Cincinnati,
OH Duration: 12+ Contract Interview: Will require face to face for
local candidates and Skype for non-local
Description: Working within a global
modeling team, the Business/Data Modeler will be responsible for the analysis
and design of data models at the conceptual and logical levels of existing
enterprise models. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, business
analysts, data analysts and other data modelers to create data modeling
deliverables through new data models or extending existing enterprise
models.
WORK EXPERIENCE Essential Experience in
data modeling Experience working with enterprise models Experience with
database technologies Demonstrated capabilities in problem solving and data
analysis. Demonstrated ability in gathering business requirements, data
analysis and contribute in modelling review sessions.
Desirable Experience with using
ERwin Experience in retail data across multiple industry verticals Strong
background in writing SQL queries Experience with Business Intelligence
Tools Experience in modeling aggregated data
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Essential Expert in application of data
warehousing principles Strong understanding of dimensional modeling,
snowflakes, slowly changing dimensions, irregular dimensions, and surrogate,
compound and intelligent keys
Desirable Business knowledge, particularly
informing the business about decisions based on design principles Understand
modeling metadata Understanding of DBA role and activities
