Job Responsibilities:
- Design & development of ecommerce applications using: Java Server Pages, JSTL, Web Services, Web Tools (HTML 5, DHTML (W3C), CSS 3, AJAX, JSON, JavaScript & other frameworks like JQuery, YUI and Backbone.js), Content Management System: Team site, Web Logic portal, Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) guidelines, MySQL and SQL Server 2000/2005 databases
- Develop and reuse application components using JQuery, YUI and other web tools
- Design websites using OWASP guidelines; Working on complete SDLC including creating design documentation, development (with browser compatibility), unit testing (in multiple browsers) of application and deployment on Web Logic server (Java Portal Environment)
- Design & implement websites that are compatible in mobile devices with cross browser compatibility across several browsers
- Create, manage and deploy several Team Site CMS content templates (Generic Content Templates, Product templates) for java web applications
- Developing ecommerce shopping cart and checkout functionality that requires complex rules and logic and integration with backend systems. Work with database servers (MySQL and SQL Server 2000/2005 databases)
- Developing java components using JSON API to render JSON Objects and writing JavaScript for injecting JSON data into the webpage in real time using AJAX calls
- Integration and Systems Support: provide production support during scheduled production releases
- Interact with engineers architects & client product managers to define, develop and verify new features for occasional promotions and other enhancements
- Creating Proof of Concept (POC) on new emerging web technologies, and suggest best possible solutions

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any branch) or related discipline and/or experience
- Experience in design, development, testing and deployment of ecommerce and web applications using the latest Java front end technologies and methodologies
- Experience in Java/ JSP, and Web Servers
- Development Experience in web technologies: HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX and Java Scripting, (Libraries), YUI, JSON, AJAX
- Working knowledge of Team Site (Content management systems : CMS)
- Knowledge of Web logic Virtual Content Repository
- Working Knowledge of MySQL and SQL server 2000 / 2005 databases
- Strong knowledge of web2.0, w3c standards, OWASP guidelines and Search Engine Optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, including cross-browser compatibility solutions
- Must know Design Patterns, when to use, why and/or what
