Kenya Association of Project Managers AGM 2015

Dear KAPM members,

You are hereby notified that the Kenya Association of Project Managers
(KAPM) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Laico Regency from 6pm
to 8pm on Friday the 9th October 2015. The agenda of the meeting is as
follows:-

Agenda 1 – Chairman’s Report (This report will highlight the journey,
milestones and achievements as well as challenges experienced by the
association since its formation)

Agenda 2 – Treasurer’s Report (This report will draw attention to the
association’s books of accounts)

Agenda 3 – Launch of the KAPM Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020 (As we launch the
SP that will guide the next 5 years, the association’s vision and key
strategies will be highlighted. The Chief Guest will assist with the
ceremonial element of the launch)

Agenda 4 – Elections of Board Members (This session will be facilitated by
an independent election official. We encourage as many members as possible
to offer themselves for service and email to the board their Expression Of
Interest (EOI) indicating the position that they are interested with.
Lobbying and campaigning for positions is highly encouraged through all
legal platforms. The available board positions are: Chairperson; Vice
Chairperson; Treasurer; Secretary; Vice Secretary; Training and
Certifications Director; and Research and Publications Director.

Agenda 5 – A.O.B. (Members will be given an opportunity to ask for
clarifications and issues that they may feel were not adequately covered
by foregoing sessions. Immediately after this session, members will be
treated to a five-star cocktail of refreshments to give room for social
interactions and business networking.

Attendance and participation in the AGM is absolutely free for all KAPM
board members. However, to be allowed in the AGM, you will be required to
present your AGM invitation card. This will help us in the logistical
planning of the AGM. To obtain your invitation card, kindly liaise with
the administrator, Helen 0721419430, during formal working hours.

Cards will only be given to members who have paid up their subscription
dues. As a board, we are aware that there are members who have paid in
past years especially at their entry level but they have not fully
complied in subsequent years. Graciously, the board, to encourage
participation in the AGM, resolved to waive all dues in previous years BUT
all members must pay up their 2015 annual subscription fees by 30th August
2015 to obtain the AGM invitation card without which one will not be
allowed entry into the venue.

This waiver DOES NOT apply at all to those interested with board
positions. We believe that anyone offering her/himself for service should
lead from the front and, as such, should have supported the course of KAPM
among other ways by fully complying with laid up policies. As such, those
offering themselves for elective positions should contact the office and
immediately pay up ALL their dues since they became members of KAPM before
they are cleared to commence campaigns.
