Hi,

I need to use Mesa under Windows 10 on a remote VM, where I have no control over system settings, including environment variables. The default browser is Internet Explorer, and I find that Mesa does not work with this browser – a tab opens, and parts of the visualization appear (see attached image, of an attempt to run “boid_flockers”). Other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) do work from the VM. I have tried editing the webbrowsers.py file to force the choice of a different browser, but the changes I tried make no difference, probably due to my limited knowledge of Python, web browsers, or the interaction between them. Can anyone suggest either how to change Mesa’s choice of browser in these circumstances, or how to get IE to work correctly with Mesa?

Thanks,

Nick Gotts
