Hi,
since (at least in isotropic materials) we have the shear modulus defined as
G = E/(2(1+v))
then it follows
v = E/2G - 1
as implemented in C++ in Chrono.
(but if I missed something, please report)
I'm wondering why the variable poisson is subtracting 1.0 from the usual Poisson's ratio formula: https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono/blob/e84563ffb8d4322121951ac7f0f72c098f65950f/src/chrono/fea/ChBeamSectionCosserat.cpp#L87. --
