URDF visualization issue

Hello everyone,：

I am experiencing visualization issues while using PyChrono. I tried importing a URDF robot file and visualizing it using Irrlicht and VSG, but the following problems occur: In Irrlicht, the mechanism is not fully displayed as shown in Figure 1, and in VSG, the parts are not correctly assembled together. I have also verified my URDF, which can be correctly displayed in the URDF plugin in VSCode. Currently, I am using the version from： https://github.com/uwsbel/sbel-reproducibility/tree/master/2025/multi-terrain-RL, with PyChrono installed according to the tutorial.

Hi sheng,

Thank you for reaching out. There are some known issues in old version of Irrlicht / VSG causing your issue, and we recommend you to use the latest version. 

Specifically, if you want to use Irrlicht, you might need to install the latest one via "conda install projectchrono::pychrono -c dlr-sc -c conda-forge".

If you want to use the newer VSG, unfortunately, at this time you might have to build from source using https://github.com/projectchrono/chrono , and change all "import pychrono.vsg as vsg" to "import pychrono.vsg3d as vsg" in the demo.
